Nothing Good Ever Comes Easy

Well...It's a BOY! We're spending the day cleaning and purging to make room for him. Our doctor appointment on Friday went well. All of the parts appear to be where they are supposed to, including, of course, the boy part. Here's a picture for your enjoyment.

He's about 10.5 inches long - they really can't tell when he's all curled up, and he weighs in at about a POUND. 21 weeks today. I'm booking through this pregnancy.

  1. Tanya and Jon,

Once again, congratulations on all the perfect little parts being in order. Thanks for letting me witness the ultrasound--that was unforgettable. It's a bit of a sensory trip to have X-ray vision on top of the excitement of knowing there's a little person forming in there.

Those who've attended ultrasounds know it's more than a cute, grainy movie of a mini baby. It was captivating to watch the tech zoom in and out to different levels of tissue as if Tanya and the fetus were transparent. We could see its little heart beat and its four chambers, which Tanya or Jon observed looked like a four-leaf clover.

My favorite part was the spine, which glowed white on the monitor, and its curvy series of vertebrae.

Names? Any favorites yet? Patrick submits Thomas and I say Nathan.

  2. I finally got Jon to let go of Henry by singing "I'm Henry the VIII, I am..." so we've at least eliminated one. Those are both nice names...but there are too many of them! We really don't have anything yet. I'll have to buy a book. Hey, an excuse to leave work early!

We were so glad to have you MM, and we're lookig forward to your continued support!
