And then, all of the sudden, we have this happy little kid that laughs and smiles and coos and play UPRIGHT in an exersaucer. It's insane. And he sleeps 12 HOURS a night waking briefly to eat. It's 5 am now, and unfortunately I don't always wake only briefly for our midnight feedings. So, I'll keep up better as the momentum of milestones picks up a bit. Here are some pictures of the last few months. I'll try to post a video of him "talking" too.
Update from 4 month appointment: Kai is meeting all of his milestones- rolled over for the first time yesterday! He's 26 inches long, 16 pounds. 75 percentile for everything.
I completely understand. I don't speak kindly about Rosemary's first months either. Actually, for us I think it was about the first year and a half.
ReplyDeleteI do have a thought though, do you ever take melatonin? I *think* it's safe if you're breast-feeding, but you should check. Joel often has a hard time getting back to sleep if he's awake in the middle of the night, so he'll take a melatonin supplement and it knocks him out.
Kai's a cutie, by the way.
ReplyDeleteI had a hard time going back to sleep once I woke to feed Lang. I passed the time catching up on Project Runway and Top Chef :-)! He is such a cutie! Beware of the talking, Lang had a 10 min conversation in the car about a cricket at the park on Sunday.

Thanks, Kate. It hasn't really been bad enough to get me from whining about it to doing something about it...going to bed at 9pm makes up for being up at midnight playing on the internet.
